Fire and Wood: From Beauty to Beauty

Fire is very beautiful. Wood also can be quite beautiful. Though when wood is combined with fire, the wood is stripped of its beauty, becomes charred and unsightly. But that is not the end of the transformation. As the wood becomes increasingly ugly, the beauty of the fire grows, until finally the climax is achieved: The wood, which formerly had a beauty of its own, in surrendering that beauty to the fire, has itself been transformed into fire, thus receiving a much higher and mystical beauty than it had before.
This fact of nature can very beneficially be applied to life:

Beautiful Snow, Yet No Pictures?

Presently I am surrounded by about a foot [30cm] of pure white, beautiful snow! Everything is made almost mystical by this simple act of nature. There is a plethora of breathtaking photo opportunities, and I just happened to be a photography fanatic with a brand new professional camera! Not only that, I live in Kentucky, where it is very rare to get this much snow. So, then, why haven't I been frantically taking and posting tons of beautiful snow pictures?
The answer is simple: It's FRIGGIN COLD OUT THERE!!

Thank YOU for such incredibly, breathtakingly beautiful images! I'm extremely grateful to Real-Neil for introducing me to your work! I wish I had more time to enjoy art and conversation on here. I love to take my time drinking in an image, like I used to, giving it the time to speak in all its emotion, colors, curves, and contacts, then translating what I heard, saw, and felt into a detailed comment. gb62da probably has some of my best articulations from when I was free to become fully immersed in art, back before the world started going to hell, with all the hatred and xenophobic nationalism. Now I'm too busy trying to organize people to peacefully communicate before we break out into a global civil war. I think I need to return to art, simply for my sanity!
